What are your interests & hobbies?

I enjoy hanging out with hubby, our two kids and cockapoo. When I have the time, I like to work out with friends and then spoil it all with a few glasses of fizz!

Why did you choose a career in aesthetics?

As a qualified GP, I was all too aware the aesthetics industry in the UK was very under-regulated, leaving clients vulnerable to botched procedures and complications.

I was determined to do something about it. So, in 2018, I founded FrownDocs as the antidote, providing an environment where people know the treatments are all given in the safest way possible.

What’s the key to achieving great aesthetic results?

Many things... to me, aesthetics is a mixture of science and art.

You need a deep knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the human body. You also need to understand the face and know how to subtly enhance a person’s appearance.

It takes a keen eye, attention to detail and time. Great, natural-looking results can’t be rushed.

What’s your favourite thing about working in FrownDocs?

I love being part of an amazing team. We’re all good friends and genuinely love what we do.

The favourite part of my day is seeing patients for their follow-up appointment. The change in their confidence and self-esteem is wonderful to be a part of.

What’s your favourite treatment?

It’s hard to pick a favourite but if pushed I would say I enjoy doing cheek filler the most. It helps to lift the rest of the face and I’m yet to find a face that doesn’t suit a subtle enhancement in this area.

What’s your pet peeve in aesthetics?

I hate overfilled lips. Size isn’t everything and sometimes less is more.
