The skin is cleansed and a topical numbing cream is applied to minimise any discomfort. After about 30 minutes you’re ready. The plasma tip doesn’t directly touch the skin, but instead releases a targeted current just above it, creating small scab-like dots. You may feel some areas more than others, but it’s a pretty comfortable experience. Once complete, numbing cream is removed and a cooling gel is applied to minimise any residual tingling or burning sensation.
Using a handheld pen device, Plasma is formed by ionising atmospheric gas and delivered to the skin using microscopic, laser-made incisions. This first causes fibres to contract and shorten. Then, it activates essential skin proteins – such as cytokines and fibroblasts – to encourage tissue regeneration, break-down proteins in the skin, and stimulate fibroblast activity.
