DR. CAROLINE STEELE
MEDICAL DIRECTOR (STIRLING)
Graduating (MBChB MRCGP) from the University of Dundee School of Medicine in 2000, Caroline built her reputation as a trusted family Doctor (GMC no. 4730343) at Allan Park Medical Practice in Stirling.
Caroline established FrownDocs in 2018, harmoniously bringing together her extensive medical expertise and lifelong love of aesthetics.
As Medical Director, some say it’s Caroline’s unswerving commitment to the highest professional & safety standards that sets FrownDocs apart. Others say it’s the deep medical knowledge and understanding of cutting-edge technology.
But in truth, most say it’s the award-winning, natural-looking results that leave them feeling awesome.
DR. RISHA DAVDA
MEDICAL DIRECTOR (LENZIE)
Risha graduated (MBChB, MRCGP, DFFP, DRCOG) from the University of Dundee School of Medicine in 2000 before qualifying as a GP (GMC no. 4737182) in 2005.
In parallel with her work as a Doctor at Woodhead Medical Practice in Kirkintilloch, Risha continued her professional development by branching into aesthetics.
Keen to bring her medical expertise into an otherwise poorly regulated sector, Risha trained with the industry-leading Facial Aesthetics Courses and intensively in close partnership with our founder, Dr. Caroline.
In 2023, Risha opened FrownDocs second clinic, bringing FrownDocs unique blend of expertise, artistic flair and advanced technology to clients in Lenzie and across West-Central Scotland.
Soon after, she was selected as the industry’s Rising Star in Medical Aesthetics, a prestigious award celebrating emerging talent who demonstrate excellence in their work.
DR. ELAINE McCAFFREY
CLINIC DOCTOR
Elaine graduated MBChB from the University of Dundee School of Medicine in 2011.
After undertaking hospital training, Elaine qualified as a GP (GMC no. 7134026) in 2018, working closely alongside Dr. Caroline at Allan Park Medical Practice.
Transitioning to aesthetics, Elaine was awarded foundation and advanced training qualifications from the MATA training academy before joining the FrownDocs family in 2021.
With her wonderful combination of a keen mind, artistic flair and friendly way, Elaine is fully trained in all injectable aesthetic treatments and loves giving clients their confidence back.
MR. JOHN BIDDLESTONE
CONSULTANT PLASTIC SURGEON
John Biddlestone is a plastic surgeon. He is qualified to perform surgery on various parts of the body, but is particularly interested in surgery to the head and neck. He has spent an alarming amount of time in hospitals, both as a doctor and a researcher, and has completed fellowships in microsurgery and facial reanimation. He now works in Glasgow, where he spends most of his time collaborating with other surgeons to treat complex surgical cases.
John has written numerous papers, presented research internationally, and even contributed to a medical textbook. He also chairs meetings, sits on advisory boards, and helps train the next generation of surgeons. When he’s not in an operating theatre, he administers a charitable trust and volunteers. He is a member of many professional organisations and has an impressive collection of degrees, which include a PhD in gene regulation and expression.
John is known for his patient-centred approach. He listens carefully to your concerns, offering honest advice and clear, expert guidance. He makes sure that all patients feel informed, confident, and supported throughout their journey - from consultation to recovery. We’re delighted to welcome him to the FrownDocs family. NICOLA BAKER BROWN
SURGICAL CARE PRACTITIONER
With over 20 years of experience in Plastic Surgery within the NHS, Nicola specialise in minor surgical procedures, including skin lesion removals and the removal of benign lumps and bumps.
Her background spans scrub, anaesthetics, and minor surgery, giving her an exceptionally well-rounded skill set to provide safe and effective treatments.
Nicola graduated a BSc in Nursing and holds postgraduate qualifications in Perioperative Practice, Plastic Surgery & Burns, and Minor Surgical Practices at MSc level.
She is also in the final year of an MSc in Nursing Advancing Professional Practice, continually expanding her expertise to deliver the best possible care.
Outside of work, Nicola loves travelling and spending time with family and friends - that is, when she’s not busy studying!
BECKY HAY
CLINIC NURSE & WELLNESS SPECIALIST
Since graduating (MAHons 1998, RGN 2001) from Napier University Edinburgh over 15 years ago, Becky has worked as a Nurse Specialist helping chest, heart & stroke patients make favourable, sustainable lifestyle choices as well as supporting them emotionally and considering the patient as a whole.
An exciting change in direction brings Becky to Woman’s Wellness, where she draws from her holistic approach to engage, guide and support woman through the perimenopause and menopause stages of life.
In addition to her menopause work, Becky also offers aesthetic treatments including Profhilo, Polynucleotides, and Botox, as well as specialist support in weight management—combining her clinical expertise with a caring, patient-centred approach.
Working closely alongside Dr Risha, the Woman’s Wellness Clinic provides an all-encompassing pathway for woman, providing advice, support and time in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Outside the clinic, Becky is a mum to three boys, one disorganised husband, and still somehow finds time to enjoy running and travel. We’re not entirely sure how she does it all – we’re just very glad she does!
MICHELLE HUGHES
AESTHETICIAN
One of the more recent additions to the team, Michelle brings a wealth of experience in the beauty and aesthetics industry.
Qualified HND in Beauty Therapy, Michelle is one of our skin specialists and is fully qualified to consult and administer our complete range of non-injectable treatments.
Adored by clients and the team, Michelle’s blend of expertise and good nature has seen her fit seamlessly into the FrownDocs family.
JACQUELINE ARCHIBALD
SEMI-PERMANENT MAKEUP ARTIST
Over the past two decades, Jacqueline has worked throughout the beauty industry in Scotland and in spa/salon management in the US & Australia.
After qualifying HND in Beauty Therapy, Jacqueline trained with market-leaders Finishing Touches and Goldeneye before opening her own specialist semi-permanent makeup studio in 2011.
Highly trained in all areas of semi-permanent makeup - including eyebrows, eyeliner, lip colour and micro blading - Jacqueline offers clients simple but effective ways to subtly enhance their appearance and boost self-confidence.
MEGAN BENNIE
CLINIC MANAGER
Megan is the heart and soul of the FrownDocs Stirling – the kind, caring and endlessly patient clinic manager who keeps everything (and everyone) running like clockwork. Whether she’s welcoming patients with her signature smile or solving problems behind the scenes, she’s the reason the clinic feels like such a happy, well-oiled ship.
She’s also the only person brave and organised enough to keep Dr Caroline on track – a heroic task for which the entire team (especially Caroline) is eternally grateful.—calm, capable, and always one step ahead.
With a background in Travel & Tourism (HNC) and Business Administration, Megan developed exceptional people and organisational skills during her time in the fast-paced airline industry. Since joining FrownDocs, she has become an essential part of the team, offering behind-the-scenes support and front-of-house care in equal measure.
Whether she’s coordinating diaries, answering patient queries, or gently keeping the clinicians on track, Megan ensures everything runs smoothly—from first appointment to follow-up.
ELLA SNEDDON
RECEPTIONIST & HR ASSISTANT
Ella is one of the friendly faces at our front desk, bringing positivity, professionalism, and a sense of calm to the clinic. Whether welcoming patients, managing bookings, or offering a kind word at just the right time, Ella helps create the warm, supportive environment that FrownDocs is known for.
Alongside her reception duties, Ella also supports our internal operations—balancing her role in HR with a degree at Stirling University. From drafting policies to keeping us on track with compliance, she helps ensure everything behind the scenes runs just as smoothly as front of house.
SHEENA MCCALL
ACCOUNTS MANAGER & ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
Sheena supports the clinic with vital behind-the-scenes organisation and finance, delivering the administrative structure that keeps everything running efficiently. From planning and problem-solving to keeping the team grounded in the day-to-day, her support helps the business run like a well-oiled machine.
When she’s not managing numbers or planning for the clinic’s future, Sheena enjoys travelling, working in her garden, and spending quality time with family and friends.
EMILY STEELE
JUNIOR RECEPTIONIST & FUTURE DOCTOR IN TRAINING
Emily is our part-time receptionist and all-round ray of sunshine at FrownDocs Stirling. She’s currently juggling school life with helping out at the clinic, where she keeps things running smoothly at the front desk (and keeps us all on our toes!).
As the daughter of our Clinical Director, medicine is in her blood – and she hopes to follow in her mum’s footsteps one day. For now, she’s loving the chance to meet our lovely patients, learn the ropes, and sneak in a bit of behind-the-scenes medical magic.
When she’s not studying or working, you’ll find her sipping iced coffee, watching medical dramas with a critical eye, or convincing us all she’s the boss (she might not be wrong…).
