Dr. Risha, Clinic Doctor

We’re your friends, your confidantes and trusted advisor, all rolled into one. So it’s only right you know a little more about us. Next up is Dr. Risha, the newest member of our fantastic team of Clinic Doctors.

What are your interests & hobbies?

I enjoy spending time with my family of three boys and they keep me on my toes. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and cooking. To combat this I also enjoy exercise!!

Why did you choose a career in aesthetics?

Aesthetics is a huge industry now but unfortunately it’s not properly regulated. I believe to be a good aesthetician you need to understand the anatomy of the face and the physiology before being able to inject a client’s face to achieve the look they are wishing for.

As a Doctor-led clinic, we have these skills and are constantly looking to find ways to make procedures even more safe for our clients. Aesthetics is a rapidly evolving industry so, like in my work as a GP, I’m used to having to constantly learn and keep on top of new research and breakthroughs.

What’s your favourite thing about working in FrownDocs?

FrownDocs is a fantastic team to be part of – it never feels like work when you’re there. There’s a lovely supportive working environment which is so welcoming for staff and for clients. I also enjoy the time we have to spend with clients discussing their concerns and planning their treatments.

What’s your favourite treatment?

I enjoy doing lip filler as a small amount can change a face but of course aesthetics is about the whole face and I enjoy doing the full assessment for clients.

What’s your pet peeve in aesthetics?

I don’t like seeing frozen faces and faces with too much filler – it looks unnatural to me.

I prefer subtlety to help rejuvenate a client’s already beautiful face as opposed to completely changing it.
