Non-Surgical v Surgical: Patient Journeys Explained

Most of my patients coming through FrownDocs have already tried non-surgical options. They’ve usually been counselled on what to expect with the surgical process. That’s where the collaboration between us works really well. Caroline spends most of her day injecting patients, so she knows exactly what can be achieved with injectables and the technology available. But there is a limit.

There’s a point where, when people are ready, it’s good to know we can send them safely to the right hands — and that’s where I come in.

I really value a multidisciplinary approach. If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail. Being able to treat someone surgically and then say there are non-surgical treatments that Caroline and the team can provide to augment, improve, or sustain the surgical result is very important.

There’s also wrap-around care. Surgery achieves brilliant lifting and sculpting results, but improving skin quality often requires additional treatments, which the non-surgical team can provide.

Surgery comes with more downtime and a more significant recovery than injectables. We counsel patients carefully so they understand the difference. Often, patients come to see me because they feel they’ve tried non-surgical options and they’re no longer the right solution for their concerns.

If you are interested in either surgical or non-surgical treatments, or would just like to discuss your concerns and queries with a member of our team, contact us or book your consultation online today!
