Client Testimonial: Tam

  • I'm Tam, I've had several treatments at FrownDocs both in Lenzie and in Stirling. Before the Lenzie clinic opened, I had visited the Stirling Clinic when Risha started as a consultant there.

It's brilliant having the Lenzie office, the Lenzie clinic. It's a lot closer, gorgeous surroundings - you drive through, parking outside. It's perfectly private if that's how you want it to be. The clinic itself is beautiful. It's a lovely building made from outhouses at the back of Risha's own house, so, it's gorgeous to look at and it's gorgeous to be in.

    Calming and welcoming

It's a very calming and welcoming environment and obviously because Risha is a GP - both Caroline and Risha are GPs - it's all GP led - it's a female-led service. It's a wonderful place to come and you feel understood. You're talking to people who have been through a lot of the things that you have been through. So the menopause advice that they can give - we're all of a certain age which is great speaking to other people who've been through that or are going through that.

I have had fine line work - it's not fine lines! - I have had lines worked on my forehead and I'm very conscious I've got a very expressive face. I think it's quite a lot of work they have to do whenever I come in - between my eyes.

    In safe hands

One of the things I love about FrownDocs is they're very honest. It's not a place where you come and they will just do a procedure because you've asked for it. They ensure that you understand how it works. And because they are GPS, they know the physiology - they know the biology, they know they know your face, they know the muscles in your face - what needs to happen to get the result that you are after.

So you feel like you're definitely in in safe hands, and I have actually previously asked for - or queried - a treatment and been told that perhaps it wouldn't be the best one for me and we could look at something else instead, which I really appreciate because you realise that it isn't just about people through the door. It's actually about the individual person sitting on the sofa during the consultation.

    Involved

It's wonderful. You feel in very, very safe and knowledgeable hands, and the process that they use, I have had - previously - filler in my cheeks and I didn't I didn't know what the process would involve, but you have an ultrasound of your face using a little a doppler to ensure that what they were doing wasn't going to cause any, you know, more damage than the positive outcome, which is what you want. Which is brilliant - I don't know if you'd get that elsewhere.

It feels very involved but, yeah, it's lovely, I really appreciate that.. it's a nice place to come. It's a nice place to come - it's a relaxing. it's beautiful. It's GPs, which means you can give blood, which I know is a minor thing, but I actually find that really important because they're trusted elsewhere as well - that the work that they're doing is not going to be harmful to you.

    Phenomenal

And while you can go to other places and perhaps have a treatment cheaper, I would question whether it's going to be safer, it's going to be as effective, it's going to be done as well as it is done here. And Risha's brilliant. Her knowledge is phenomenal - she can answer any question that you have. She answers it thoroughly, she answers it honestly. She's great. You do feel in safe hands and she's very, very personable as well - makes you feel very listened to and heard and safe.
