Teoxane RHA1

I'm going to start a new series called Treatment of the Day. It's a bit like Position of the Fortnight, but a lot less fun : )

Now, those of us that are old enough to remember that will probably be suitable for my first treatment, and that is Teoxane RHA1.

This is a treatment that we typically use on the lips for those that just want a bit of moisture, so it's a good time to think about doing this in Winter because we find our lips get really dry. So those of you that are using lip balm all the time or are noticing those wee fine lines, cracks along your lips - people who are prone to dermatitis, broken skin around your lips, cold sores, or even the sort of red areas at the corner of your mouth - angular cheilitis we call that - typically they respond really well to RHA1.

It is a Hyaluronic Acid but it's very lightly cross-linked and what that means is that it injects, it infuses your lips below the moisture, defines them a wee bit better but doesn't pump them up too much, so those that are worried about having that lip filler look will be happy with this. It's really, really natural. So I'm just going to show you a wee photo just now and you can see the before and after - the lips are exactly the same size, just the bottom one looks much more juicy and lovely.
